Paramedics rushed to Gate 34 at Los Angeles International Airport at around 5.53pm but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene. The girl's name has not yet been released but initial reports have suggested that she was around ten years old. A spokesperson for the Fire Department released a statement that said: 'LAFD paramedics responded to a medical aid for a minor female child and furiously worked to save her life. 'Sadly, all efforts were futile and the child was beyond medical help. 'Her death was determined on scene.'
