Newark Airport: Two Southwest Airlines planes crash on runway

Two Southwest Airlines planes have crashed on the runway at a major airport in the US. A taxiing Southwest plane struck wings with a parked airliner at a terminal gate, Newark Liberty International Airport confirmed. Passengers sat on the tarmac have claimed they can see part of a wing lying on the ground. Travellers worried about getting to their holiday destination reported their plane being hit by another, and said they were told to remain seated with their seat belts on. Many have taken to Twitter to voice their confusion, expressing concern over 'safety practices'. There are no reports of injuries at this stage, the airport has said. Source
