Nearly Naked Man Jhryin Jones Arrested After He Scales A Fence And Jumps On Plane Wing At Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport

Police said a man scaled the fence surrounding Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Tuesday afternoon before running across taxiways and runways, eventually sitting beside a plane waiting for takeoff.  The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Atlanta police said Jhryin Jones, 19, ran was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing, public indecency, and obstruction of law enforcement officers. Airport officials initially said in a post on Twitter that a passenger exited a plane while it was stopped on a taxiway after arrival. But later, the airport said: “There are conflicting reports as to how the male apprehended on the airfield accessed the airfield. He is currently in custody.”  According to the Federal Aviation Administration air traffic control system command center’s airport status updates, there was a security-related gate hold and taxi delays of 16 to 30 minutes affecting departures Tuesday afternoon. All 9 aboard medical evac plane killed in Philippines crash All nine people on board a small medical evacuation plane were killed Sunday when the aircraft crashed into a resort area south of the Philippine capital and exploded in flames, officials said. The light plane crashed into a resort compound in Pansol village in Laguna province near the foothills of Mount Makiling. Police and rescuers retrieved nine bodies from the wreckage, police said. Two people on the ground were injured and brought to a hospital. Eric Apolonio, a spokesman of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, said the light plane was on a medical evacuation flight from southern Dipolog city in Zamboanga del Norte province and disappeared from radar for unknown reasons as it flew over Laguna, about 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of the capital.
