Passengers evacuated on runway from smoke-filled Boeing 737 at Moscow Domodevo Airport S7 Airlines Flight #GH173 to Novosibirsk had to abort take-off late on Tuesday, when the pilots of the Boeing 737 plane noticed smoke in the cockpit.  The runway was immediately closed off and passengers were ordered to leave the plane via inflatable slides.The evacuation took place in total darkness, lit only by the flashing lights of nearby emergency vehicles.   All of the 129 passengers were successfully evacuated and no one was injured in the incident, a spokesperson for Globus Airlines told RIA Novosti.  According to a preliminary investigation, the smoke was caused by water that got into the air conditioning system of the plane, the company said. China Eastern Boeing 777 dumped 30 tonnes of fuel for emergency landing to save passenger’s life  In a bid to save a passenger’s life, a China Eastern Airlines pilot decided to dump 30 tonnes of jet fuel in the air last Friday (March 23) in order to make an emergency landing. Chinese media reports said that a 60-year-old woman had felt unwell and complained of breathing difficulties while on flight #MU587 from Shanghai to New York, which departed at about 7.30pm on Friday night. Chinese news website hangzhou.com.cn reported on Monday that the woman was slipping into a state of unconsciousness and the situation was critical.The airline crew had announced over the radio for doctors to step forward to help the woman. 106 passengers stranded in Germany due to drunken co-pilot BERLIN (AP) — A Portuguese airline has apologized for keeping more than 100 passengers stranded at Stuttgart airport in southwestern Germany after one of its flights was canceled last-minute because of a drunken co-pilot. Shortly before the TAP Air Portugal flight was to takeoff to Lisbon on Friday night, an airport employee noticed the co-pilot walking unsteadily and smelling of alcohol. He notified airport authorities, which decided to keep the plane on the ground. It wasn't immediately clear if the 40-year-old co-pilot was detained. The German news agency dpa reported Saturday that all 106 passengers were put up at hotels overnight.
