Two easyJet flight attendants were hospitalised following a severe case of turbulence on a flight from London Gatwick to Milan's Malpensa airport. One cabin crew member was left with a broken ankle and another with serious bruising in the incident. The air accident report has revealed the Airbus A320 experienced some turbulence, in a clear sky, as it descended towards the Italian airport on the afternoon of January 30 this year. The report from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said the flight crew had noted only low levels of turbulence were forecast but that there had been a report of severe turbulence over the Alps at FL (flight level) 220 (22,000ft).
